#1044: The Ruling Of Women Slaughtering Animals

Pls I have a question our great Scholars.What is the Islamic view about women to slaughter an Animals?”
ANSWER:
Wa Alaykum Salam Warahmatullah Wabarakaatuh.
May Allah Taala illumine your heart and mine, amin.
As for a woman slaughtering an animal, there is nothing wrong with that and it is permissible.
Imam Al-Bukhari recorded in his Sahih that a woman once slaughtered a ram and the Rasul salallahu alayhi wasallam was asked about it. He said: “You may eat of it”.
Imaam Al-Bukhari has a Chapter in his Sahih that is titled to that effect. He called it Baabu Dhabihatu Al-Mar’ati Wa Al-‘Amah Chapter dealing with the Slaughter of a woman and that of a Bondswoman.
