Asalamun alaykum.
Pls I need the explanation of this Hadith.
Thank you👇👇👇👇
“Ibn `Abbas (May Allah be pleased with them) said: An ass with a brand on the face happened to pass before the Prophet (PBUH). Thereupon he (PBUH) said, “May Allah curse the one who has branded it (on the face).” [Muslim].”

The Hadith to which you refer is recorded by Imam Muslim from Abdullah bn ‘Abbas radiyallahu anhuma:
رأى رسول الله -صلى الله عليه وسلم- حِمَارًا مَوْسُومَ الوَجْهِ، فأنكر ذلك؟ فقال: «والله لا أَسِمُهُ إلا أقصى شيء من الوجه» وأمر بحماره فُكُوِيَ في جَاعِرَتَيْهِ، فهو أول من كوى الجاعرتين.
“The Messenger of Allah (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) saw a donkey that had been branded on the face. He disapproved of it. Thereupon, Al-‘Abbās said: “By Allah, I shall not brand (the animal) but on the part most distant from the face.” Al-‘Abbās then commanded that his donkey should be branded on its hips. He was the first to brand an animal on the hips.”
The Fuqahaa of Islam have formed a consensus that it is Haraam to brand an animal on its face in accordance with this Hadith.
As for branding, it is the practice of Herders that they use a heated metal to stamp a symbol on an animal with a symbol that the animal may be identified wherever it is found. Customarily each tribe or family had its own brand unique to it that if it strays and it found, it is easily traced to its owners. There are several Ahaadith aside this that detail the forbiddance of Branding of animals on their faces. And in some wordings of the Hadith referred above, the Rasul salallahu alayhi wasallam cursed the one who did the branding.
And Allah knows best.
