Q&A (Fatwa)
#1177: Is it Permissible for a Non-Muslim to Use Words Like Alhamdulillah
QUESTION:
Salaam Alaykum,
Is it permissible for non muslim to be using words like “ALHAMDULILLAH, masha ALLAH, SUBNALLAH” ETC?
ANSWER:
Wa Alaykum Salām Warahmatullāh Wabarakātuh.
There is no harm in a Kāfir using these Terms provided they are not used as a way of mocking the Dīn or making fun of Islām.
It is ok for a Non Muslim to Glorify Allāh, rather it is praise worthy also. And Allāh knows best.
And probably this can be an indication that such a person can be introduced and invited to Islām.
May Allāh guide her towards Islām
