#149: Ruling on the Muslim that Fails to Aid His Fellow Muslim

*ON THE STATEMENT OF IBN SHUBRUMAH ON THE MUSLIM THAY FAILS TO COME GO HIS BROTHER’S AID*

_”The Taabi’eey Ibn Shubrumah said: If you ask your brother for a favour and he doesn’t do his utmost best to deliver for you, take your Wudu for prayer, make Takbeer 4 times on him, and consider him from the dead.”_
_” Assalamu alaykum. Can you please explain more on this”_

*ANSWER*

Wa alaykum Salām Warahmatullāh Wabarakātuh

Alhamdulillāh.

What is meant here, and Allāh knows best, is that if a Muslim cannot expend all his efforts to come to the releiving assistance of his Muslim brother, then he is as good as dead. The statement of the Tābi’ī – rahimahullāh – here is to that effect and what he means by Four takbirs are the takbirs of the Janāzah.
