#423: Combining of Salāt During Journey
QUESTION
” @ Admin pls I have a question concerning travellers
Asalamu alaykum Waramatullahi wabarakatuh
For example I do travel from kano to kaduna every 2 2 week and I normally leave kaduna by 5:30 and so on, when it’s time to pray Magrib can we stop and observe it along with ishai or when we get to our destination we now combine them.”

Wa alaykum salaam warahmatullaah wabarakaatuh!
Alhamdulillaah!
It is permissible for you in that situation to combine Maghrib and Isha as you have described or you delay the Maghrib until you arrive your destination.
The Hanbalis and the Shaafi’is permit both while the Maalikis permit only the second.
The Maliki position on this is weak.
