#516: Pious Couples look like each other after 10 years?
QUESTION
” Asallam Alaikum Waramotullahi Wabarakatuh, please I heard from a scholar that said Holy Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) said when a girl and a boy married together and both are trust to each other by not doing Zina both ,that go and look at them after 10years ,they will look are like,is it true that there is an Hadith that said it.”
ANSWER
Wa alaykum Salām Warahmatullāh Wabarakātuh.
Alhamdulillāh.
We have no knowledge if any such Hadīth. Not even among the recorded Muwdū’āt (Fabrications).
If the narrator of the Hadīth as you have said is a Scholar, then it was right upon him to make reference to its source among the books of Hadith.
We must beware of fabrications of Ahādith. This is because they are tantamount to lieing against the Rasūl – salallāhu alayhi wasallam – and a ridicule of the Ummah of the Rasūl – salallāhu alayhi wasallam.
The punishment for such a deed is severe, very severe indeed.
It has come in the Hadīth that is Mutawātir (Narrated by numerous Imāms) that the one who does this knowingly is of the People of the Nār (Fire).
This matter is so grave that some of the Fuqahā referred to it as an act of Kufr. This position was mention by Imam Abū Muhammad Al-Juwaynī – rahimahullāh.
Such a ‘Scholar’ must be warned and advised.
