ANSWER:
Wa Alaykum Salām Warahmatullāh Wabarakātuh.
Alhamdulillāh
We ask Allāh to grant you ease and a sound childbirth free of any problems or complications, amīn.
There has not been any thing recorded from the Rasūl -salallāhu alayhi wasallam – that should be said by a pregnant woman for childbirth.
However, something has been mentioned from the Predecessors to this regard.
Ibn Qayyim Al-Jawziyyah – rahimahullāh – said in Kitābu At-Tibb:
_”Khallāl said: Abdullah bn Ahmad bn Hanbal said: I saw my father – Ahmad bn Hanbal – write for a woman who had difficulty putting to bed, on a white drinking cup or something clean the Hadīth of Ibn ‘Abbās (so that she may drink from it):
And:
Shaykh Muhammad bn Sālih Al-‘Uthaymīn recommended reciting the following verses:
And it’s likes.
Verses that imply ease and succour.
Also Ibn Qayyim Al-Jawziyyah mentioned in the Tibb thats some of the Scholars used the verse:
However, all of these are not necessarily done. What we advise, and Allāh knows best, is to use the Supplications that regard to ease and Supplications generally. We shall refer to some of them below:
Imam Ahmad recorded in his Musnad and At-Tirmidhī that the Rasūl -salallāhu alayhi wasallam – said:
“The Du’ā of Dhū An-Nūn that he made when he was in the belly of the whale
No believer will be in some difficulty and recite it except that Allāh will respond to his Du’ā”.
This Hadīth was considered Sahīh by Al-Hakim, Adh-Dhahabī and Al-Albānī.
Another example is the Hadīth recorded by An-Nasa’ī from Anas bn Mālik:
This was also graded Sahīh.
