ANSWER:

Wa Alaykum Salām Warahmatullāh Wabarakātuh.

We are fine and ask Allāh to make our affairs in the best of ways in this world and the next, amīn.

As for our Brothers and Sisters under humiliation and oppression in the communities of China and other Muslim lands, we ask Allāh to grant them security, the strength of Īmān that sees no shaking over trials, and the Steadfastness that grants ease to the heart in the face of oppression.

It has always been a matter of Individual Obligation ( Fard ‘Ayn) upon every member of the Muslim Ummah East and West to alleviate the pains and suffering of those Muslims.

Primarily by way of war against their oppressors, with capability. And then by whatever other means possible, that capability leaves to one.

And it is not permissible for any member of the Ummah who believes in Allāh and the Last Day to be among the bystanders to this dastard humiliation. A Muslim must not be docile and complacent even if it is by saying a fervent Du’ā in their honour every morning, afternoon and night.

We ask Allāh to alleviate their situation and to bring for the Ummah those among us that will rise up in the defence it the Muslim Lands. Amīn.

As for their fast of Ramadan, their condition makes it impossible or difficult for them. What is required of them, and Allāh knows best, is that they withhold it’s fast until Allāh grants them ease and a situation when they can observe it’s fast. Then they may compensate for the missed days by fasting.

It is not required of them to feed the needy as long as this is their situation. Aside the fact that they are oppressed physically, they are also of those who are needy.

May Allāh Grant them ease, be merciful to their dead and grant release to their imprisoned. Amīn.

Bārakallāhu Fīkum
Jazākumullāhu khayran.
