Assalam alaikum waramatullah wabarakatu, pls for how long can one differ the killing of animal for newborn baby if uncapable on d 7th day?

ANSWER

Wa alaykum salaam warahmatullaah wabarakaatuh

Alhamdulillaah

Majority of the Ulamaa hold that if one has no wherewithal to make the Aqiqah on the 7th day, then he should make it on the next 7th day (I.e. 14th day), and if not, then on the 21st day, and so on, on the next 7 days. And that if one is not able to do it due to poverty or related matters, then Allah does not task a soul beyond its capability.
