#804: Ruling on Investing in a Company

804. QUESTION

“Assalāmu alaykum warahmatullāh. What is the Islamic ruling in a partnership with a company that sell halal products where one invest an amount and one is paid 20% of his or her investment every month constantly as profit as long as the money is still there?”

ANSWER:

Wa Alaykum Salām Warahmatullāh Wabarakātuh.

As long as the dealings of this company are Halāl, there is nothing wrong in this form of investment. Rather it is profitable and good and it is a form of joint venture within the Muslims that is encouraged by Islām.

Bārakallāhu Fīkum
Jazakumullāhu Khayran.

4th Shawwal, 1440AH.
