#805: The Requirement from a Woman who completes Her `Iddah
805. QUESTION
“Assalamu’alaykum, pls i have a quick and kinda urgent question… Is there any requirements expected from a woman on completion of her Takaba after her husbands death??”

Wa Alaykum Salām Warahmatullāh Wabarakātuh.
Firstly, we seek your pardon for the delay in responding to your question.
As for this, there is no recommendation from the Sharī’ah on anything required of a woman that just ended her ‘Iddah other than the fear of Allāh and Steadfastness on the Path of Allāh and Islām. She should know that now that her husband has passed, authority over her returns to the hand of her father and she must fear Allāh concerning the limits of relating with the opposite sex.
