#93. ASKING TO KNOW IF THE LADY SOUGHT FOR NIKAAH IS A VIRGIN
” Assalamu alaykum. Pls at what stage of relationship does the shareeah permit a man to ask the sister he wants to marry of her virginity status as he wants to marry a virgin following the prophet advise(to marry a virgin)”

Wa alaykum salaam warahmatullaah wabarakaatuh
Alhamdulillaah!
It is your right to know if the sister you want to marry is a virgin or not. And it is the duty of whosoever is the Waasitah (Middle-person) between you and her to make it clear to you if she was or wasn’t virgin. This is because, marriage like any other contract in Islam must be carried out in clarity and knowledge.
Therefore, you should make all your researches in this regard even before taking the first step so that you do not fall guilty of abandoning her to herself if you see what displeases you after going a long way in the Khitbah.
