#46. TELLING LIES SO AS TO COVER UP A GOOD DEED
” Sallamu alaikum Ya admin,Pls is it consider a lie, when u do a deed sincerely because of ALLAH between you & HIM, and someone asked u about it, and u cover it up, by saying otherwise, jazakhallahu khairan”
ANSWER
Wa alaykum salaam warahmatullaah wabarakaatuh!
Yes, the situation depicted is nothing but lies. Whosoever is involved in that should fear Allah and desist from doing that.
While it is good to not do good in the open, it is haraam to do so by way of telling lies. That is because the Ulamaa are at a consensus that things that are Waajib are Mandub should not be accomplished through ways that are haraam.
