#53. HAVING SEXUAL INTERCOURSE IN THE TOILET OR BATHROOM

ANSWER
Wa alaykum salaam Warahmatullaah wabarakaatuh
Alhamdulillaah, while there is nothing in the Ahaadith that directly mentions the forbiddance of sexual intercourse in the bathroom, the Ulamaa have formed a consensus on the filthiness and dislike of such an act.
This is based on the Hadith in which the Rasul – salallaahu alayhi wasallam – said:
” إن هذه الحشوش محتضرة فإذا أتى أحدكم الخلاء فليقل أعوذ بالله من الخبث والخبائث.”
“Indeed these places of passing out waste are attending places of the shayaatin. So if any of you comes into its privacy, let him say ‘a’udhu billaahi min al-khubthi Wa al-khabaa’ith’.
It was transmitted and recorded by Abu Daawud and graded as Sahih by Al-Albaani.
If the toilets and bathrooms are present places of the Shayaatin, then having inter course in them exposes one to the evils of the Shaytaan and one’s offspring to his plots.
Aside that, it is impossible to say the necessary dhikr of intercourse if this is done. This is due to the impermissibility of doing dhikr in the toilet and bathroom.
Therefore, we highly discourage you from such a deed.
