#1166: What Is Compulsory On The One Who Kills Someone Else’s Goat Unintentionally

I was driving today, unfortunately I had an encounter with goat, instantly the goat died. What’s compulsory upon me?”

Wa Alaykum Salam Warahmatullah Wabarakaatuh.

Alhamdulillah.

Beloved brother, we had mentioned in our Response to similar question on this matter that what is obligatory upon such a person is to seek for the owner if he can and then compensate him with something that is agreed upon and that is reasonable.

If the owner is not known or if the owner is not accessible, then you need to give an average value customarily so measured in Sadaqah on his behalf.
