Pls what is the real name of sahih al bukhari… i meant the original name before its called sahih al bukhari

Alhamdulillah, as for the name with which Imaam Al-Bukhaari named his book, then the Scholars are agreed, as was mentioned by Ibn Al-Khayr Al-Ishbili in the Fahrasah, Ibn Salaah in his Muqaddimah, Qaadi ‘Iyyaadh in Mataali’u Al-Anwaar, An-Nawawi in Tahdhibu Al-Asmaa and Ibn Mulaqqan in Al-Muqni’ that it is :
Al-Jaami’u Al-Musnad As-Sahih Al-Mukhtasar Min Umuri Rasulillah Salallahu alayhi wasallam Wa Sunanihi Wa Ayyaamihi
Al-Khatib Al-Badhdaadi mentioned in Ta’arikh Baghdad that Al-Bukhari himself sometime referred to it as As-Sahih or Jaami’u As-Sahih. This is why the Scholars generally refer to it in this short form.
It is known that the compilation of the book took 16 years.
There is much and much to say about the book but a mention of that is beyond the scope of this short response.
May Allah be merciful on Al-Bukhaari and illumine his grave and grant him light upon light and unite us with him in the Firdaws in the company of the Rasul salallahu alayhi wasallam and the highest of Companions… Amin.
