Q&A (Fatwa)

#334: What is the Islamic Believe about Death

QUESTION

” What is the Muslim philosophy towards… Death-judgments and resurrection”

ANSWER

Alhamdulillāh.
We are sorry we do not understand your question. But if you mean by it, what Muslims must believe about death, resurrection and judgement in the hereafter, then we say that a Muslim must believe that they are a certainty (yaqin) as Allāh described them in his book when He said:

“And worship your Lord until Certainty comes to you”

The Mufassirun said what is meant by certainty here is death and everything that comes after it.

We ask Allāh to make us true Muslims who will die upon the shahaadatayn and be granted Firdaws, Āmīn.
