#1074: Is It Permissible For A Muslim Convert To Abort Her 4 Month Old Baby?
Assalam alykum..can a lady who just reverted to Islam and has discovered she’s pregnant with a child after 4 months after she reverted to islam abort the baby …? She actually got pregnant wen she was drunk and a kafir took advantage of her prior to islam.jazakaLLAAHU khair

May Allah strengthen her in the Din and grant her steadfastness and knowledge of the Din, amin.
We have generally referred to the Ruling of Abortion and pregnancy gotten out of marriage in our responses to different questions on our Telegram Channel. Of them is our response to Question 431. We mentioned that though there is a difference among the Fuqahaa regarding to abortion before the expiration of 120 days, though impermissibility is the correct position. They are in consensus on the impermissibility of abortion post 120 days unless where there is fear that in bearing the child is a risk to the life of the mother without a doubt. The fact therefore that she got pregnant from a Kaafir or at the instance of being drunk does not change the ruling here.
