Please, how can we get access to the Nigerian Islamic Authorities on this Zakaat issue, so that we may be able to get quick and in-hand updates on it from time to time?”
ANSWER
Wa feekum baarakallaah!
Alhamdulillaah, we do not advise getting contact with the Nigerian Authorities for the purposes of Zakaat neither do we advise anybody to trust them. They are a people who are either following the wrong Fiqhi positions in their choices of things or people who use their positions to further non-Islam centric interests.
We ask Allāh for guidance and direction, aameen.
Rather, what we advise is that the Muslims rally around the Ulamaa in the society, who have combined a sound knowledge of the Dīn with a penetrating insight of this era’s peculiarities, that they trust to guide them in matters like this.
It is our hope and aim that in the close future, IslamNode will make and service a network of sound Ulamaa to render counselling and advice on matters such as this.
May Allāh make that a reality and grant us Tawfiq, Āmīn.
