#381: Completing the Salāt after the Imam’s Wudhu is Vitiated
QUESTION
” Salam alaikum. Question pls
During a solatul subhi prayer u met a raka, and towards the completion of d prayer. The imam pollutes the air and u where pointed to continue d prayer. What will u do?”
ANSWER
Wa alaykum salaam warahmatullaah wabarakaatuh.
Alhamdulillaah, while it is in the Sunnah of the Khulafaa Ar-Rashidin Umar and Ali – radiyallaahu anhuma – to appoint one of the followers of the Imaam to lead the Salaat whenever the Imaam’s Wudhu is terminated, this situation warrants that the one who is appointed to continue in the Imam’s absence not be one or more raka’aat behind any of the other followers of the Imaam.
Therefore, in this case, you are supposed to decline.
