#800: Ruling on asking Allah all the goodness that the Righteous Ones asked him in the Past

800. QUESTION

“Sallam alaykum beloved Shiek,pls can one supplicate to ALLAH in this wording(by saying,I ask ALLAH with the goodness all the Righteous Slaves those whom came before us have Asked of HIM and the goodness which the Righteous Slaves that will come after will ask of HIM,And I seek Refuge with all the evil they seek Refuged from ALLAH.jazakumullahu khyran as you shed more light on this”

ANSWER:

Wa Alaykum Salām Warahmatullāh Wabarakātuh.

As for this supplication then we have not found anything wrong in it if the implication the writer means is that the one supplicating asks Allāh all the good that the Righteous Ones have asked and will ask, and a protection from all the evils they have sought protection from. This is clear.

We ask Allāh to unite us with the Righteous Ones in the Gardens of Firdaws, amīn.
