The intelligent one is the one who occupies himself with the recitation of the Glorious Qur’an in this month which is the month of the Holy Qur’an.

In this regard, it was said that whenever it is the Month of Ramadān, Imām Mālik used to close down the circle of Ahādīth and stick only to the recitation of the Qur’an.

Imām Sufyān Ath-thawrī used to leave other ‘Ibādāt and hold firm to the recitation of the Quran.

Amongst the salaf, are those who always complete the Quran within three days and some daily especially in Ramadān.

Hence, don’t just be amazed about the high determination of the salaf in Ramadān. Rather, follow their footsteps or emulate them if you can’t be like them. Ponder on the verses and put into practice what you learnt.
