Desirable Actions In Fasting Part I

DAILY POST #188

عن أبي هريرة -رضي الله عنه- أن النبي -صلى الله عليه وسلم- قال: لا يزال الدين ظاهراً ما عجل الناس

الفطر؛ لأن اليهود والنصارى يؤخرون

رواه أبو داود

On the authority of Abu Huraira radiyallahu anhu – who said that the prophet salallahu alayhi wa salam said:

“The Religion will continue to prevail so long as the people hasten to break their fast (during iftar) because the Jews and Christian delays it.

Transmitted by Abu Dawud.

LESSONS FROM THE HADITH

♦ The desirability of not delaying the breaking of ones fast during the time of iftar.

♦ This is one of the distinctive quality of our Ummah.

♦ The believer should always be keen towards the upliftment and dominance of the Deen.

♦ The general ruling in the Shari’ah of not following the ways of the Jews and Christian.

May Allah assist us in our quest toward the upliftment of Islam, Aameen.

Don’t forget the Muslim Ummah in your Du’a.
