Imām Ibn Qudāmah Al-Maqdisi -rahimahullāh- said: “Know verily that, one way of curing envy is for one to force oneself to go against what the heart desires of envy, malice and enmity.”

Imām Ibn Qudāmah Al-Maqdisi -rahimahullāh-_
Said:

Know verily that, one way of curing envy is for one to force oneself to go against what the heart desires of envy, malice and enmity.

If one feels that one hates a person because of what Allah Has bestowed on such a person of His blessings, then, one should hasten to praise and honor him.

If one is taken away by pride and arrogance, then one should humble oneself in order to cure such vices.

And also, if one were to stop giving him money due to envy, then one should hasten to give him more than what one normally gives.

In this regard, it is reported that if some ignorant people abuses the salaf, the salaf used to send some gifts to them.

In summary, this a beneficial medicine for curing envy, though, it is difficult and bitter to practice except the one Allah Has made it easy for.
