Ramadan: Night Prayers
Night Prayers.
It was reported that the Rasūl salallāhu ‘alayhi wasallam never missed night Prayers. If he is sick or weak, he prays while sitting.
Whenever the Rasūl salallāhu’alayhi wasallam misses his night Prayers due to some matters be it dawah or jihād, he prays it during the day. Then what about you who always complain about lack of time or weakness?
The Rasūl salallāhu’alayhi wasallam encourages the companions to stick to night Prayers while they are the best generation. Then what about our generation which is full of desires, heedlessness and sins.
The Rasūl salallāhu ‘alayhi wasallam said:
_The best sallah after the obligatory prayers is the sallah observed in the midnight._
Abdulaziz ibn Abī Rawād replied when he was given a soft bed to sleep on:
_How soft you are! However the bed of Jannah is softer than you. Then he will stand and continue praying till Fajr._
