Seeking for Forgiveness With Both Tongue and Heart 02

*Seeking for Forgiveness With Both Tongue and Heart.*

Istigfār is to seek for forgiveness either with the tongue or the heart or with both.

Most individuals, do seek for forgiveness only with Tongue while their hearts is absence from the supplications.

However, the best is to seek for forgiveness with both the tongue and the heart. For this, purifies the heart from vices and also assists the tongue to stick to good words.

Hence, be mindful not to have a clear difference between your tongue and heart during Istigfār.

Ibn Rajab said:

_Whosoever seeks for forgiveness with his tongue while his heart is absent, and his aim is to return to the sin after a month, then his fasting is unacceptable, and doors of acceptance is closed against him._

Thus, seek for forgiveness with your tongue and heart and be sincere in that regard.
