Reflections on the Covid 19

The Muslim Ummah and the Pandemic

REFLECTIONS ON COVID-19 #34

The Muslim Ummah is in this condition and situation altogether and there is no difference between the one who is afflicted and the one who is not afflicted in this Pandemic. There is also no difference between the one in whose land it is prevalent and the one in whose land it is not prevalent.

For this reason, the Fuqaha are in agreement, except a very few Hanbalis who disagree, that it is obligatory upon the entire Muslims to make prayers that Allah brings relief anytime there is an epidemic ravaging the land. Imam Waliyuddin Al-Millawi evidenced that in his book _Hallu Al-Hubaa Li Irtifaa’i Al-Wabaa_ and rebutted the position held by these few Hanbalis.

The very sincere question that reads out here is whether we have been serious in the making of Du’a that Allah uplifts from us this suffering.

Jazakumullahu Khayran
