Know o Beloved One that to believe that everything that happens has been predestined by Allah is a Pillar among the Pillars of your Iman. But the same Allah that destined all what will be commanded that you take our precautions and use the means to attaining something to attain that thing.
There is no conflict or contradiction in that.
That things have been destined is a Credal Matter that every believer must have. It is the realm beyond your influence and control thus you have not been tasked to do anything in action about that.
But regards the happenings of the World within your control, you have been commanded to take precautions and seek the use of means to get matters resolved and done.
For this reason, the Precept upon which Islam based the use of Means (Asbaab) is that to rely solely on them is Shirk and to make use of them is Waajib.
Reflect over that o Beloved One…
