#238: Does seeing the Nakedness of someone else Invalidates my Wudhū?
263. QUESTION
_”A sister asked. Does seeing someone nakedness invalidate my ablution? Like me for instance. I usually have to cream and dress up my aunt. Sometimes, most times am already with ablution to perform my `Isha prayer and that`s wen she usually takes her evening bath. Do I have to make wudhu again after dressing her up? Although I do not touch any private areas.. Her aunt is sick and she’s the one taking care of her”_
*ANSWER*
Alhamdulillāh!
Looking unto the Private Parts of other than yours and your partner’s is Harām in the Sharī’a by the consensus of the Ulamā and there are no excuses to this. Even in dire situations, it remains obligatory of one to avoid its look *as much as possible*, even when attending to the seriously sick.
But mere seeing the private parts of same or opposite sex does not terminate the Wudhū as long as it does not lead to the secretion of the Prostatic Fluid ( _Madh’y_)
And Allāh speaks the Truth, and guides toward that which is best….
