QUESTION

“Sallam alaikum Ya admin, Pls what is ruling of someone who has money to build a first class house,but has not offer hajj,and whenever dey re told to hajj is d first priority,they say “it because ALLAH has not called us,shukran, jazakhallahu khairan for ur efforts”

ANSWER

Wa alaykum salaam warahmatullaah wabarakaatuh!

Alhamdulillaah! The ruling is that such a person becomes a Faasiq if he still believes in the obligation of Hajj on the capable, but a Kaafir if he rejects the obligation of the Hajj on the well-to-do.

Therefore, our advice is that such a person should be warned and encouraged to return to his/her senses and to beware of the Punishments of Allāh for such people.
