The Imām is a Shield
Imām Muslim recorded in his Sahīh from Abū Hurayrah – radiyallāhu ‘anhu – that the Rasūl -salallāhu alayhi wasallam – said:
إنما الإمام جنة يقاتل من ورائه ويتقى به
“Indeed the Imām is a Shield from whose back (the Armies) fight and with which protection is sought.”
This is because it is with the institution of the authority of the Imām and the leadership of the Ummah that unity is attained and the enemies are repelled and fought against.
The responsibility of the Leader of the Muslims is to hold the hands of the Muslims and guide them toward the establishment of the Tawhīd of Allāh, protecting their interests in this World and protecting them against their enemies.
Once the Ummah becomes divided, when there is no Leader that leads them in accordance with the Sharī’ah of Allāh and commands the Muslims Armies against the enemies Islām, the Muslims are exposed to the onslaught of the enemy and lose their strength and glory.
The enemies of Allāh are aware of this and for this reason they are resolute against any action that may lead toward this revival, using all the means at their disposal to thwart the efforts of the few that dedicate themselves to this goal.
When the Muslim Leader (the Imām) is in place, Muslim blood in the Lands of Oppression will be preserved and the light of Islām will shine again as it did in the past…
O Allāh bring unto the Muslims those that will work toward this goal, amīn.
