DAILY POST #28

A’isha – radiyallaahu anha – said:

“May Allaah be merciful on Labid when he said:

ذهب الذين يعاش في أكنافهم * وبقيت في خلف كجلد الأجرب

Indeed, those under whose company it is fit to live are passed away and nothing remains of those who remain behind but worn out skin

A’ishah said:

What would have been (his words) had he witnessed this era of ours?

Urwah said:

May Allah be merciful to A’ishah. What would have been (her words) had she witnessed this era of ours?

Az-Zuhri said:

May Allah be merciful on Urwah, what would have been the case had he witnessed this era of ours

Az-Zubaydi said:

May Allah be merciful to az-Zuhri, how would it have been had he witnessed this era of ours?”
