: عن ابن عمر – رضي الله عنهما- قال كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا أَفْطَرَ قَالَ
ذَهَبَ الظَّمَأُ وَابْتَلَّتْ الْعُرُوقُ وَثَبَتَ الأَجْرُ إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ
أبو داود.
On the authority of Abdullah bin Umar -radiyaLLahu anhu – who said that the messenger of Allah used to say the following (suplication): “Dhahaba al-zama’ wa abtalatil-‘urooq wa thabata al-ajr in sha Allaah”
Abu Dawud.
Translation:
“The thirst has gone and the veins are moistened and the reward is confirmed by Allah’s will”
LESSONS FROM THE HADITH
♦ The significance of always remembering, supplicating and showing gratitude to Allaah for achieving something great.
♦ The time of breaking the fast is among the period when Du’a is easily answered so lets make use of this great opportunity in this blessed month to make lots of du’as.
♦ A believer has to be very patient, determined and scarifying to achieve something great in the Deen.
♦ We should know that any difficulty or trial a believer undergoes in the path of Allah will not last forever but the reward will continue by Allah’s will.
May Allah accept our Du’a and every other act of Ibaadah in this blessed month, Aameen.
