الحمد لله رب العالمين
ولا عدوان إلا على الظالمين
والعاقبة للمتقين
والصلاة والسلام على اامبعوث رحمة للعالمين
Honored brothers and sisters
Assalāmu Alaykum Warahmatullāh Wabarakātuh
We shall continue in our Sharh of the Book _Nasīhatu Ahli Az-Zamān_
Bārakallāhu fīkum
Shaykh Uthman Dan Fodio – rahimahullāh – said
قلت
ونحن أيضا نحمد الله عز وجل على ما منحنا من الخيرات في زماننا دينا ودنيا وعلى ما أنجانا منه من الشرور الحالية والماضية
_”I say and we too, thank and praise Allāh for what He has bestowed upon us of good in this era of ours, in Din and Dunya. And for what He has saved us from of present and past evils”_
He said
قد جرى على لساني في هذا المعنى هذه الأبيات
_It has preceded from my tongue in this regard the following lines
نحمد الله وقتنا وقت نور،
وقت كشف الظلام في العالمين
نحمد الله وقتنا وقت إحيا
ء السبيل لسيد المرسلين
نحمد الله وقتنا وقت نصر
وقت خذلان جملة الكافرين
بحمد الله وقتنا وقت عز،
وقت فرج لجملة المسلمين
نحمد الله حزبنا حزب عبد ال
قادر الغوث سيد العارفين
“We thank Allāh for our time, the time of light;_
_The time of illumining the darkness from the world_
_”We thank Allāh for this time, the era of revival,_
_Of the Path of the Master of Messengers_
_”We thank Allāh for our time, the time of Victory_
_The Time abandoning the entirety of the Kafirs_
“We thank Allāh for this time, the era of Honour,_
_The time of opening for all the Muslims_
_”We thank Allāh for Our Party, the Party of AbdulQādir_
_The Ghawth, the Master of the Pious_
Alhamdulillāh
In what has preceded is a poem that Shaykh Uthman Dan Fodio sang to his people to remind them of the bounties of Allāh upon them that He guided them toward Īmān and then gave them an Ālim, and a guide that showed them the way and taught them their Dīn
And gave them Ilm and prevented them from falling into the error of the misguidance of their time
And gave them the ability to be steadfast upon it, and the ability to make Hijrah and to wage a Jihād
And the ability to appoint and make Bay’ah to an Imām
The Da’wah of Shaykh Uthman was indeed all of that and he made change to the Black and North African lands to such an extent that it was said about him _Mujaddid_
We shall insha Allāh pause here to begin tomorrow on the explanations of these words that the Shaykh has mentioned especially the mention of the Party of Shaykh ‘Abdulqādir
Bārakallāhu fīkum
May Allāh make us of those whose fast is accepted
