(On what to avoid during Ramadan)
On the authority of Abu Hurayra – radiyaAllahu anhu- who said; I heard the prophet- sallallaahu alayhi wasallam- who said:
How many a praying person (at night) gets nothing out of it except wakefulness and how many a fasting person gets nothing out of it except hunger and thirst.
Sahih ibn khuzaymah
LESSONS FROM THE HADITH
1. The obligation of observing Allah’s limit when performing any act of ibaadah.
2. One must observe his fasting and perform his night prayers in Ramadan with firm Imaan (faith) in Allah and hoping for reward from Him alone.
3. One has to be very watchful of his intentions, sayings and actions, in other not to destroy his well completed act of ibaadah especially in this month.
4. A believer should always pray to Allah to accept every of his completed act of Ibaadah ( with hope and fear of Allah in mind).
May Allah grant us His forgiveness and accept our Ibaadah.
JazaakumuLLahu Khayran.
