_Imām Ibn Qudāmah Al-Maqdisi -rahimahullāh-_
Said:
*DOUBLE FACED PEOPLE.*
Know verily – may the blessing of Allah be upon you – that, double faced people are people who appears to different people with different faces. They used to transfer the statement of one person to another, and they will talk to each one of them with the words that will suite, please, honor and praise him. And at times, they used to praise a person in his front and blame him at his back.
Thus, one should beware of this type of character because it causes a lot of destruction to the society and such a person is considered of the worst of people in the sight of Allāh Azzawajal.
In this regard, it is reported by Abū Hurairah radiyallāhu anhu who said: The Messenger(ﷺ ) said:
_ﺗَﺠِﺪُ ﻣِﻦْ ﺷَﺮِّ ﺍﻟﻨَّﺎﺱِ ﻳَﻮْﻡَ ﺍﻟْﻘِﻴَﺎﻣَﺔِ ﻋِﻨْﺪَ ﺍﻟﻠَّﻪِ ﺫَﺍ ﺍﻟْﻮَﺟْﻬَﻴْﻦِ، ﺍﻟَّﺬِﻱ ﻳَﺄْﺗِﻲ ﻫَﺆُﻻَﺀِ ﺑِﻮَﺟْﻪٍ ﻭَﻫَﺆُﻻَﺀِ ﺑِﻮَﺟْﻪٍ._
_The worst people in the Sight of Allah on the Day of Resurrection will be the double faced people who appear to some people with one face and to other people with another face._”
