_Imām Ibn Qudāmah Al-Maqdisi -rahimahullāh-_
Said:
*FORBEARANCE AND RESTRAINING FROM ANGER.*
Allāh Ta’ala said:
_(والكاظمين الغيظ)_
_And those who restrain their anger._
*Suratu Al-‘imrān, verse 134.*
In this regard, Allāh praises the companion for their good deeds of curbing their anger.
Also, the Messenger sallallāhu àlayhi wasallam was reported to have said:
_”من كظم فيظا وهو قادر على أن ينفذه، دعاه الله على رءوس الخلائق حتى يخيره من أى الحور شاء.”_
_Whosoever restrains his anger while being able to act, Allāh will call him amongst people and he shall be given a choice to choose amongst the hurr._
Transmitted by Imām At-tirmidhi(6/165).
And also, It is reported from Abu Hurairah radiyallāhu anhu who said: The Messenger sallallāhu àlayhi wasallam said:
_إنما العلم بالتعلم، والحلم بالتحلم._
_For verily, knowledge is with learning, and forbearance with enduring and being patient._
Transmitted by Ibn Abīddunya in Al-hilm(2) from Abu Hurairah, and Shaykh Al-Albāni declared it as Hasan in As-sahīhah(342).
in addition, It is reported from Ibn ‘Abbas radiyallāhu anhu who said:The Messenger of Allah sallallāhu àlayhi wasallam said to Ashaj Ibn Qais radiyallāhu anhu:
_إن فيك خلقين يحبهما الله ورسوله : الحلم والأناة_
_”You possess two qualities that Allāh loves. These are clemency and tolerance”._
