Imām Abūl ‘Abbās Ahmad bn ‘Abdul-Halīm bn Taymiyah – Rahimahullāhu
said:
اسمع كلام محقق في قوله
لاينثني عنه ولا يتبدل
Listen to the statement of the Muhaqqiq
He doesn’t turn away from it nor change.
SHAR’H.
Muhaqqiq is someone who sticks to the path of the Salaf which is solely built on Kitāb and Sunnah especially that which has to do with ‘Aqīdah. Here the Shaykh is calling the attention of the listener to listen and grasp what he is about to say in the poem.
Moreover, the one who is firmly rooted in knowledge will never deviate nor change from the path of the salaf because it is the path of salvation in this Dunya and the next life. That’s why the Shaykh said he doesn’t change from the path since he is of the great ‘Ulamā of this Ummah.
As for those in whose hearts there is perversity and desires, they follow the path of the misguided sects not the path of the salaf and they deviate here and there without any steadfastness. Hence, beloved ones, stick to the path of the salaf and never deviate and be mindful of those who are their to lure you into their misguided path.
Allāhu A’alām.
Bārakallāhu fīkum.
Jazākumullahu Khayran.
