Imām Abūl ‘Abbās Ahmad bn ‘Abdul-Halīm bn Taymiyah – Rahimahullāhu
said:
4). ولكلهم قدر علا وفضائل.
لكنما الصديق منهم أفضل.
All of them are people of status and virtue.
But As-siddīq is the best of them.
SHAR’H.
Know that, the companions and Households of the Rasūl Salallāhu’alayhi wasallam are all people of Trust, status, sincerity and honest. And the wonderful roles they played in in Islām cannot be overstated. No matter how, one can never catch up with them in terms of good deeds.
Also, Abūbakr Radiyallāhu anhu is the best amongst them followed by ‘Umar, ‘Uthmān and ‘Aliyy Radiyallāhu ‘anhum Ajma’īn.
