Imām Abūl ‘Abbās Ahmad bn ‘Abdul-Halīm bn Taymiyah – Rahimahullāhu
said:
(5). وأقول في القرآن ما جاءت به.
آياته فهو الكريم المنزل.
I will say regarding the Qur’ān what the verses came with (without any misinterpretation)
For it was gloriously revealed.
SHAR’H.
Meaning, I established my words, creed and madhab in accordance to the teaching of the Holy Qur’ān without any misinterpretation. For it is the Statement of Allāh Ta’āla which was revealed upon His Rasūl Salallāhu ‘alayhi wasallam through Angel jibrīl ‘alayhissalam and it was revealed on the grand night in Ramadhān.
Hence, the Qur’ān is the word of Allāh Ta’āla without any ta’wīlāt. Allāh spoke to Prophet Mūsa ‘alayhissalam with His voice. He speaks when He wants and How He wants. Though the misguided sects like Mu’tazilah māturīdiyyah believe that the word of Allāh is created. And this is wrong because it contradicts the text and the understanding of the salaf.
Therefore, Hasten to stick to the understanding of the salaf regarding the word of Allāh Ta’āla and be mindful of following the misguided sects who based their evidence on intellect not on text.
Allāhu A’alām.
Bārakallāhu fīkum.
Jazākumullahu Khayran.
