The Tafsīr of the verse:
Allāh Ta’ala says
He it is Who made the earth smooth for you, therefore go about in the spacious sides thereof, and eat of His sustenance, and to Him is the return after death.
Allāh Ta’ala mentioned that He Has made the earth subservient for mankind to walk on it, dig, cultivate and build on it, and He never make it difficult task for the one who wants to do all these thing. And He Ta’ala said He made the earth as though a spread, resting place, a wide expanse, and a fixed place.
And He also said that He Has spread it, brought forth from it water, and pasture, foods and He pegged it with mountains, paves ways and roads therein. He caused rivers and springs to flow.
Amongst its blessings is that, all kinds of animals and their sustenance, foods come from it. And of its blessings is that, when you planted a seed, it brings forth manifold of its kinds, and the earth carries dirt on it surface and it brings forth within it the best for the usage of man.
Also, amongst its blessings is that, it conceals the waste product of man and brings forth food and water. Hence, earth is the most perfect thing that bears harms and brings forth benefits from it.
