Imām Abū Hamīd
Al-Ghazali – Rahimahullāhu
said:
The Nasīha which Benefits.
Know verily Oh beloved Son, giving Nasīha is a very simple and easy act.
However, the difficult aspect is its acceptance, since it is bitter and it goes against the desire of the soul which loves to be given a freewill and not restricted in terms of actions.
And this is best applicable to those who are engrossed in the knowledge of philosophy to attain worldly gains and reputation.
For they thought such knowledge which is empty of benefits and blessings will protect them in the sight of Allāh. Hence, they need not to act and this is the thought of the philosophies.
Subhānallāhi Al-‘Adhīm!! This individuals have neglected the fact that knowledge is an evidence against the one who doesn’t practise. And this is in accordance to what was authenticatedly reported from the Rasūl Salallāhu alayhi wasallam.
Allāhu A’alām.
Bārakallāhu fīkum.
Jazākumullahu Khayran.
