said:
Be Patient Don’t be in Haste.
Oh beloved Son, henceforth, don’t be in haste to ask me much questions before their due time. Rather, be patient until I myself explain them to you or wait patiently until you know them through learning.
In this context, Allāh Ta’āla says:
And if they wait patiently until you come out to them, it would certainly be better for them, and Allāh is Forgiving, Merciful.
Hold firm to the Nasīha of Al-Khidir ‘alayhissalam where He said in the glorious Qur’an:
He said: If you would follow me, then do not question me about any thing until I myself speak to you about it
Hence, don’t hurry for those questions before their due time, for you may be punished by being deprived thereof.
Allāh says:
…now I will show to you My signs, therefore do not ask Me to hasten (them) on.
Also, know that, you can’t reach your goal except through traveling here and there. By Allāh, if you travel around, you shall see wonders.
Allāh Ta’āla says:
Have they not travelled in the earth and seen…
Most importantly, ponder deeply on the signs of Allāh Ta’āla, for the peak of the affair has to do with the soul.
In this regard, Dhunnūn Al-Misrī Rahimahullāhu said to one of his student:
If you can exert much of your efforts in censoring your heart, then you are highly welcome, if not, then don’t busy yourself with the ridiculous deeds of the suffis.
Allāhu A’alām.
Bārakallāhu fīkum.
Jazākumullahu Khayran.
