_Imām Ibn Qudāmah Al-Maqdisi -rahimahullāh-_
Said:
Know verily – may the Rahmah of Allāh Ta’āla be upon you – that, the best way to prevent satiation, is for one to reduce one’s food with time until one middles between being hungry and satiated.
And also, one should only seek that which will not cause heaviness and laziness to the body thereby affecting one’s ibādāt.
In addition, eating moderately gives the body sound health and it takes away heaviness, it refreshes the brain and it increases determination. But over eating leads to much sleeping and it blocks the faculty of reasoning and it causes a lot of diseases to the body.
However, one should beware of reducing one’s food because of showing off.
As for the sexual desires, know that it was placed in the body for two major reasons:
1. For the continuation of the existence of man on earth.
2. To feel the little pleasure in it so that one can hasten and struggle for that of the Hereafter which cannot be compared to the pleasure of this dunya.
However, if the sexual desires is not properly monitored and cultured it may lead to some calamities and deficiencies to the body. For this reason, women serves as one of greatest plots that shaitan uses against men.
In this regard, Usamah Ibn Zaid radiyallāhu anhumah said: The messenger of Allāh sallallāhu ‘alayhi wasallam said:
_”َ ﻣَﺎ ﺗَﺮَﻛْﺖُ ﺑَﻌْﺪِﻱ ﻓِﺘْﻨَﺔً ﺃَﺿَﺮَّ ﻋَﻠَﻰ ﺍﻟﺮِّﺟَﺎﻝِ ﻣِﻦَ ﺍﻟﻨِّﺴَﺎﺀِ._”
_After me I have not left any trial more severe to men than women._

One of the pass predecessors was reported to have said:
_if I were to be entrusted with money, I am sure I will deliver the trust, but if I were to be entrusted with a woman for an hour, I don’t think I can deliver the trust._
This shows the severity of the fitna of women. Due to this, our beloved prophet sallallāhu ‘alayhi wasallam Has warned against man and woman secluding themselves in an hidden place and shaitan is their third.
In this context, The Messenger sallallāhu ‘alayhi wasallam said:
_”لا يخلو رجل بامرأة فإن ثالثهما الشيطان”_
_”Never should a man isolates himself with a woman, for verily, the third is Shaitan._”

Moreover, the issue of sexual relationship should be properly cupped and one should not exceed the limit thereby making it one’s primary goal. For it has its own side effect and it can distract one from his primary aim of being on earth which is to worship Allāh and to remember Him. For this dunya is short and its enjoyment are not totally pure.
Hence, people should be very careful and caution as regard marital relationship and they should try to avoid its excessiveness at early stage before it develop thereby leading to what Allāh Has forbidden which is zina.
