There is no doubt that the one weakness of the Ummah that has repeatedly been exploited by the enemies of Islam is the Sunnah of Allah upon the Ummah that whenever it differs and wars against itself, one party against the other, it fails in the face of its enemies.
We have seen this play out in every era of Muslim History. Whosoever takes a keen look at our History will see clearly that there was never a time that the enemies of Islam succeeded in breaking down and decimating the defences of the Ummah except that such unfortunate incidences were predicated by a wanton disagreement and strife many times leading to deaths and unjustified killings…
The Ulamaa have agreed that the Ummah must unite in whatever it is doing to as much as possible for it to unite. In situations where 10 people can come together to do a thing, it’s not permissible for only 9 of them to come together because the concept of uniting is a command among the Commands of Allah that is not permissible to be kept aside.
Can’t you see that in the Qur’an Allah said:
وَاعْتَصِمُوا بِحَبْلِ اللَّـهِ جَمِيعًا وَلَا تَفَرَّقُوا
“And unite resolutely around the Rope of Allah, all of you, and do not differ and fall into disunity”
About this, Imaam Al-Qurtubi said in his Tafsir:
“Indeed Allah Ta’ala commands unity and forbids disunity and breaking of efforts. This is because in division is destruction and unity is safety”
In his Commentary, Shaykh Ahmad Shakir said:
“And the first of the goals of Islam and its most important and critical is the unity of the words of the Muslims and the alignment of their hearts on one mission which is the mission of making the Word of Allah supreme and uniting their hearts for the purpose of achieving this goal”
Let all of those that work for the Din of Allah realise that unity is a command among the commandments of Allah and only in its implementation is success possible…
We ask Allah to grant again for the Ummah its Days of Glory..
Barakallahu Fikum
