_Imaam Ibn Qudaamah Al-Maqdisi -rahimahullaah-_
Said:
*CONDITIONS FOR A SOUND TRANSACTION.*
3. *Good relationship.*
Allah Ta’ala Has commanded us to be just and good in our relationship. In transaction, a seller should not increase the profit more than what is expected. However, there is no certain limit for earning profit. But the trader should be just and kind to the buyer by placing a moderate price on his product.
If the buyer should offer an excessive price for certain commodity due to his eagerness for the product, in this case, it is beloved for the seller not to sell the product to the buyer at that high price by keeping to the normal price.
Amongst the good behaviors of the seller, is for him to give out his product based on credit to those that he knows that they are in need of help and they will surely pay back.
In addition, if the buyer seeks for some discount on the product, the seller should alleviate some amount for the buyer.
Lastly, it is also encouraged and recommended that the buyer overlook some debt of the buyer so that Allah can reward him abundantly on the Day of Resurrection.
