DAILY POST #109

Imaam Ibn Hajar Al-‘Asqalaani – rahimahullaah – said:

It is reported from A’ishah radiyallaahu anha- who said – The Messenger of Allah -salallaahu alayhi wasallam said:

“The most detested person in the sight of Allah is the ruthless contentious person.”

Transmitted and recorded by Imaam Bukhaari in his “Sahih”#2668 and Imaam Muslim in his “Sahih”#4523.

COMMENTARY

The hadith shows the importance of the following:

♦ It indicates that it is disliked and abhorrent for one to be an argumentative person.

♦ It shows that it is disliked for one to argue unnecessarily.

♦ It encourages one to avoid arguments as much as he can, especially if he feels that the one he is speaking to is arrogant and ignorant.
