Imaam Ibn Hajar Al-‘Asqalaani – rahimahullaah – said:
It is reported from Abdullah Ibn Salam radiyallaahu anhu- who said – The Messenger of Allah -salallaahu alayhi wasallam said:
“O people, extend Salam to each other, keep ties with your kinship, give food to people and pray at night while people are asleep and you will enter Paradise with peace.”
Transmitted and recorded by Imaam At-Tirmidhi in his “Sunan”#2485 and he graded it as Sahih. Shaykh Al-Albaani also declared it as Sahih in “Sahihu At-Tirmidhi”.
COMMENTARY
The hadith shows the importance of the following:
♦ It encourages extending Salam to one another.
♦ It shows the importance of keeping ties of kinship.
♦ It encourages providing food to others.
♦ It shows that one should always pray at night while people are asleep.
♦ It shows that all these actions are ways to Paradise.
