Imaam Ibn Hajar Al-‘Asqalaani – rahimahullaah – said:
It is reported from Abu Hurairah radiyallaahu anhu- who said – The Messenger of Allah -salallaahu alayhi wasallam said:
“Some people will not sit in an assembly remembering Allah in it except the Angeles surrounds them, covers with the blessing of Allah and Allah will mention them among those that are with Him”.

COMMENTARY
The hadith shows the importance of the following:
♦ It shows the importance of sitting in an assembly where there is remembrance of Allah. However, this does not mean that people should come together shouting, dancing and hitting their chest in the name of making zakr. Because this is not zikr in the first place but it is an innovation.
But zikr here means learning and teaching of Qur’an, making Tasbih singly and learning the deen as a whole.
♦ It shows that the Angels surrounds those that remember Allah.
♦ It indicates that the blessing of Allah is with the Azzakirin ( Those that remember Allah).
