Imaam Ibn Hajar Al-‘Asqalaani rahimahullaah said:
It is reported from Abu Hurairah radiyallaahu anhu- who said – The Messenger of Allah -salallaahu alayhi wasallam said:
” whosoever says: Subuhaanallahi Wabihamdihi hundred times, his sins will be forgiven even though they may be as much as the foam of the sea”. Agreed upon.
Transmitted and recorded by Imaam Bukhaari in his “Sahih”#6405 and Imaam Muslim in his “Sahih”#2691.
COMMENTARY
The hadith shows the importance of the following:
♦ It indicates that whosoever says Subuhaanallahi Wabihamdihi hundred times, his sins will be overlooked even though they may be as much as the foam of the sea.
♦ It shows the importance of making zikr.
♦ It shows that praising Allah-The Almighty is one of the ways the sins of one can be forgiven.
